What a wild time the launch party was for my debut picture book! At least it felt that way to me because I was trying to keep to a schedule of what I should be doing next. Reading a story, playing a song, signing books, announcing door prizes, talking to friends… But I got through without messing up too much and when all was said and done, it was SO much fun! And that’s all I really hoped for while planning. I wanted all these people who mean so much to me to have a good time. Along with several others whose pictures are posted, many thanks go to Art Norton for taking photographs. I also really appreciate my musician friends who livened up the party with their wonderful music. They even played a song with me for The Puffin Who Whispered that I wrote the lyrics to. And another thank you to Megan and the Hampstead Public Library for helping and allowing this event to take place. One last big thank you to everyone who showed up and supported me–I really appreciate you all! Others weren’t able to attend but are still supporting from afar–thanks again! My next post will be about two smaller events that followed this one. Because I’m still busy catching up with other things, I will let the pictures do most of the talking here. Since there always has to be technology issues, some of the pictures shown are fuzzier than the originals I uploaded to WordPress. No idea why!😃
More than one person said these fish sugar cookies were too cute to eat, but they vanished, and the GF whoopie pies were delicious, too!

What an amazing book launch!! It was so much fun!!! Congratulations on your first picture book!!! It was beautifully written and illustrated! Abigale is a very sweet puffin with an important message to tell. The story pulls at your heartstrings as you find yourself rooting for Abigale to find her voice!!
