New England Blizzard
People from around the world have asked how we’re doing with all the snow. They’ve also asked for pictures, as it can be hard to imagine this winter bliss from certain balmy locations. So, bundle up, hang onto your hats and welcome to New England! This photo shows how we walk through the early stages of a blizzard.
Later, we locate our vehicles.
Then we drive home.
We check out the window to see if there are any wildlife passing through our backyards.
Next day, the kids head off for school.
What can I say, we’re New Englanders and there’s lots of fun to be had in the snow, too!

Oh my goodness, I don’t know how you cope. We get 2″ in the UK and the entire place comes to a standstill. Keep warm.

Nothing changes – 2″ of snow in 2016 and England will still come to a standstill. God bless it. 🙂

Wow !!! What a lot of snow ! I have been thinking of you when I have heard the news on the TV. At Christmas 2010 we had such a quantity. I hope you have enjoyed it…because it is not very easy to drive. I do not like to drive on snowy roads.

This is hilarious!!! I should have done one about how Nashvillians handle snow. There’s the mass panic where everyone buys three weeks of groceries because snow is in the forecast. Then there’s the snow, where everyone sits on our community Facebook page and tells everyone, “Don’t leave the house!!! It’s not worth risking your life.” Then the ice and snow melt off the streets after one day maximum…and life goes on as usual. (I’ve figured out the best time to go to the grocery store is after that melt off, since everyone else is now well stocked in groceries!)

Thanks, Rhonda. My kids built the snow bunny years ago (with a little help from me), lots of fun. I guess we are rather hearty. Either that or we just put up with it!

Maybe it’s like we learned to live with extreme heat all summer when we lived in southern Spain– pull down the shades and eat popsicles! Loved all that snow on both posts (and it’s been raining here so we can see snow up on the mountains!). Stay warm!!! xo
