Marcia Strykowski

Book Group

Yesterday, I was the guest author at my biggest book club event yet. Although two participants needed to leave before we snapped the picture, all told there were 16 in attendance, besides myself. What a great bunch of women! It was so interesting to hear their stories and how they felt connected to Call Me Amy, either by character, location, situation, or time period. (And how some of their grandchildren will be receiving the book for Christmas!) These incredible readers are already penciling in a date to talk about the sequel: Amy’s Choice. I really appreciate the interest and support of booklovers such as these women. Thank you to the Third Thursday Book Group!

  4. What a wonderful event. A day spent with book lovers. 🙂

  5. That’s awesome. How exciting to have such a large group discuss your work.

  6. It must be one of the greatest satisfaction of having written a story ~ to know readers connect with a particular aspect of it. Seems like a truly wonderful event, Marcia. Happy Holidays & have a blessed 2014!

    • Thank you for your nice comment, Claudine, and Happy Holidays to you, too!

  7. Lori Adams

What a good idea for an adult book club to read the book! I’ll bet lots of adults would enjoy the story.

    • Thanks, Lori. Call Me Amy does seem to be popular with adults! 🙂
